why we exist
Walk in Broken
Walk out whole
Jade House Recovery was born from a simple idea: when recovery is guided by values, relationships, and accountability, healing happens. We left a broken system to build "rehab, reimagined" for those left behind.Jade House is poised to become South Florida's first culturally competent MAT clinic offering same-day care for the underserved – bridging the gap so men who walk in broken can walk out whole. Our approach is both evidence-based and deeply human. We combine medical innovation with real-life support: Medication-Assisted Treatment (cutting overdose risk by 59% and boosting recovery rates by 68%), breakthrough therapies like for depression, structured counseling, family engagement, and peer mentorship.Every part of our program is designed to meet real needs – not just check insurance boxes.
OUR founding story
HEALING THROUGH
COMPASSION & DIGNITY
Jade House began as a moral mandate. In early 2025, founder John Visciano and his colleagues walked away from a treatment center that had "lost its way," where clients were treated like numbers. They resigned en masse – not in defeat, but in conviction. "When someone's brother, father, or son asks for help and is turned away, something is fundamentally broken," John said.Building Jade House was their line in the sand. The name "Jade" signifies healing and harmony across cultures – our commitment to cultural competence – and "House" evokes the safe, homelike space we're creating. Our mission is simple: Healing through compassion and dignity. We believe delaying or denying care is an injustice that can literally kill. That's why our model is trauma-informed from the ground up.
our services
A Grounded Path to Recovery
We offer a full continuum of evidence-based services designed to treat the whole person. Our approach begins with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), which combines proven medications with therapy to reduce overdose risk by 59% and stabilize brain chemistry, allowing real healing to start. Our PHP/IOP core features daily group and individual counseling, using trauma-informed techniques to help clients build coping skills and rediscover purpose. This is reinforced by peer support from specialists and alumni who provide mentorship as a "second family," while recovery housing and case management offer the structure and real-world tools for independence.Every service connects to create a seamless path from crisis to independence—with dignity.
EVIDENCE-BASED MEDICINE
WHAT MAT IS:
WHOLE-PATIENT
HEALTHCARE
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) uses FDA-approved medications alongside counseling to treat opioid addiction. It's science-based medicine that addresses both physical and emotional recovery.MAT medications like buprenorphine don't get someone high—they get them healthy. It's an approach grounded in science – a "whole-patient" method that addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of recovery.Research shows that combining medication + therapy improves survival, keeps individuals in treatment longer, cuts illicit opioid use, and helps people get back to work and family responsibilities. In short, MAT saves lives – it can cut the risk of fatal overdose at least in half. This isn't experimental treatment. It's established medicine that works.
THE ACCESS CRISIS
WHAT MAT IS NOT:
AVAILABLE WHEN
NEEDED MOST
Let's talk about the elephant in the room: MAT is sometimes misunderstood as "replacing one drug with another." The reality? It's replacing chaos with stability.Despite being widely recognized as the gold standard for opioid treatment, access is still a major issue. Only 1 in 4 people who need opioid addiction treatment ever receive MAT.The barriers are deadly: 30-90 day waitlists, insurance requirements, stigma around medication-based treatment, and cultural incompetence that fails underserved populations. The consequences are devastating – South Florida alone lost 7,551 lives to overdose in 2024.Jade House is determined to change this. We offer same-day MAT access because we know tomorrow isn't soon enough. No waitlists, no turn-aways.If someone reaches out for help, we use every tool at our disposal to keep them alive and start recovery today.
recovery defined
beyond sobriEty
Recovery is more than sobriety—it’s a journey toward a self-directed life of wellness, purpose, and connection. It's both a personal and community experience, where individuals and families utilize internal and external resources to heal wounds and build a meaningful life together. This holistic view recognizes that recovery isn’t a solo act; it ripples outward. We elevate the voices of those who have lived it, because they are the true experts. For one man, recovery is being a present father again; for another, it’s holding a steady job with self-respect.Success isn't measured by arbitrary benchmarks, but by the quality of life our clients achieve. Recovery is personal. We provide the tools, support, and environment to make each person’s vision of that life possible.
